Foster Care Services

foster care, adoption, international adoption, children, families

TFI Family Services, Inc. is licensed as a child placing organization which provides several levels of foster care services.

A child is placed in the State’s care when a court determines the child’s home life is dangerous, inappropriate, unhealthy, or when the child’s behaviors cannot be managed at home. Many children have experienced lives of abuse and/or neglect.

Right now, there are children in need of a home and a family that will give them safety and a nurturing environment that they can grow in.  TFI believes that whenever possible, a child should be with their natural family; when that is not possible, we help to provide Foster Care families for the children in our care.

As a Foster Care parent, you work together with child welfare professionals to ensure that the children placed in your home have a chance to blossom as a healthy, well-adjusted member of the community.  Opening your heart and home as a Foster Care family isn’t always easy, but families often say it is one of the most rewarding experiences in their lives.

Specialized Support

TFI Family Services, Inc. developed a model of support for Foster Care families that was founded on the principle that a Foster Care family would have their own case manager to support them.  The Foster Care family’s case manager then works in coordination with the child/family’s case worker.  Our Foster Care families have a live voice to talk to even if is is 2:00 AM, on a weekend or holiday as well as monthly newsletters and support meetings, holiday parties, summer picnics, training opportunities and annual retreats.
